Robert Wolfensperger

Bob was born May 3, 1919, in New Hartford, Iowa, the son of Robert and Myra (Morton) Wolfensperger. He graduated from New Hartford High School and went on to serve his Country in the United States Army during World War II.

On July 10, 1945, he was united in marriage to Alice S. Weltzin in Waterloo. He was employed at the Benson Creamery from 1945-1952, then was a turbine operator at the power plant at the University of Northern Iowa for 29 years, retiring in 1981. He also owned and operated Bob's Carpet Cleaners.

Bob is survived by his wife, Alice of Waterloo; four children: Perry G. (Audrey) Wolfensperger of Waverly, Vicky R. (Jim) Omundson of Bondurant, Barb J. (Gary) Carlson of Raymond and Charles D. (significant other Tim) of Clear Lake Oaks, CA; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Bob died Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Bryon brothers, Harlan and Wendell Wolfensperger and sister, Emer Rockwood.
