CEDAR FALLS — Frank A. Boyce, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

He was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Waterloo, son of Alto and Elsie (Beener) Boyce. He married Gertrude L. Luloff on Jan. 15, 1942, in Jesup. She died Dec. 26, 2008.

Mr. Boyce was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He worked for Rath Packing Company, retiring in 1981.

Survived by four sons: Ronald (Dayle) of Minneapolis, Minn., Dave (Nylene) of Cedar Falls, the Rev. Bruce (Brenda) of Reinbeck and Byron (Carol) of Dysart; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by a son, Frank; five brothers: Alto, Arden, Charlie, The Rev. Fred and Melvin; and a sister, Darlene Schoenfield.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church and Cedar Valley Hospice.
