ESCH, KAMPER, TILLEY, WATERMAN, PITTMAN

ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Services for Ronald C. Esch, 66, of 120 Sutton Ave.. will be 1 p.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion and AMVETS Post 19.

Mr. Esch died at his home Thursday evening of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb. 25, 1917, at Arlington, son of Herman and Clara Kamper Esch. He married Phyllis Jean Tilley Nov. 17, 1941, at St. John's Newfoundland, Canada. She died in 1977.

He was employed for 30 years by Standard Heating Equipment Co., retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in France.

Survivors include a son, Ronald L. Esch of 500 W. Ridgeway Ave.; two daughters, Mrs. Heather Waterman of 1139 Logan Ave. arid Mrs. Sandra Pittman of 1850 Glenny Ave.; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Darwin Esch of Strawberry Point and Lyle Esch of Oelwein.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
