CEDAR FALLS—Jason J. Carmichael, 30, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident His special friend, Amanda Schotter, also died Sunday from injuries sustained in the same accident

He was born Aug. 13, 1974, in Cedar Falls, son of Robert and Christie Tank Carmichael. Mr. Carmichael was employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Waterloo.

Survivors include his son, Jaden Carmichael of Tallahassee, Fla.; his parents, Bob and Christie Jason Carmichael of Unionville, Mo.; two brothers, Craig Carmichael (Debbie) of Olathe, Kan., and Ritchof Faribault, Minn.; two sisters, Kathryn Block of Cedar Falls and Mikaela (Brandon) Kienitz of Belle Plaine; four nephews, Zachary Carmichael, Riley Kienitz, Pierce Kienitz and John Block; three nieces, Kilei Carmichael, Heidi Block and Sabrina Carmichael; and a great-niece, Sonya Block.

Preceded in death by his grandparents; and a nephew in infancy, Sidney CarmichaeL

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for one hour prior to service
time at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family to establish a trust fund for his son, Jaden.
