WATERLOO — Cheryl S. Jenson Wilcox, 66, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Allen Hospital, of a sudden illness.
She was born July 18, 1946, in Huntington, Ind., daughter of George W. and Doris Dick Frye. She married Rich Droste; they later divorced. She married Don Jenson on May 26, 1978; he died May 29, 2005. Later, she married Harold Wilcox in September 2009.
She graduated in 1964 from Huntington (Indiana) High School. She worked at Covenant Medical Center for several years and then was a homemaker. She was a member of Queen of Peace, formerly St. John’s Catholic Church.
Survived by: her husband; two sons, Stewart Droste of Waterloo and Brad (Jean) Droste of Center Point; a daughter, Missy Shelton of Cedar Falls; two stepsons, Schawn (Jessica) Wilcox and Mark Wilcox, both of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Feleana (Nick) Rooff of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Lindsey, Cameron, Dylan, Alyson, Emily and Katie; four stepgrandchildren, Devyn, Riley, Cole and Trevor; his mother, Doris Kunkel of Huntington; a sister, Donna (Brian) Schindler of Fort Wayne, Ind; and a brother, Jim Frye of Huntington.
Preceded in death by: her father; her stepmother, Jane Frye; and her stepfather, Dave Kunkel.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Barclay. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
