CEDAR FALLS—Services for Eloise L. Leavitt, 79, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, and formerly of 824 Franklin St., will be 2 p.m. Sunday at United Church of Christ with a burial service at 11 a.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo. She died at the Lutheran Home early Friday.

She was born Oct. 4, 1904, at Redwood Falls, Minn., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones. She married Charles T. Leavitt July 10, 1934, at Cedar Falls. He died in March 1970.

She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and before her retirement taught English in the Parkersburg school system.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Matthias of Oak Park, Ill., and Patricia Cook of West Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Anita Marriott of Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
