WATERLOO - Frank D. Ziegler, 85, of 709 Kunz Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Parkview Gardens Care Center of natural causes; services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery; visitation 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home, 234-6274, with a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

WATERLOO - Frank Daniel Ziegler, 85, of 709 Kunz Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Parkview Gardens Care Center of cancer.

He was born Oct. 4, 1911, in Waterloo, son of Peter and Elizabeth Kuhn Ziegler. He married Coretta J. Hayes on June 21, 1937 in Waterloo.

Mr. Ziegler was a machinist at Chamberlain Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1973. He was a charter member of St. Edward Catholic Church.

Survived by his wife; a son, Ronald of Waterloo; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elizabeth Reed and Josephine Ziegler, both of Waterloo and Mary Fratzke of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a son, Robert R; and four brothers: John, William, Alfred and Peter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home, where there will be a 3 p m Senior Citizen's rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Edward Catholic Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
