WATERLOO - Arlene M. Knox, 77, of 623 Locke St., formerly of 6161 Logan Ave., died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Fredericksburg, daughter of Fred and Rita Winkelman Nolting. She married Albert Knox on Sept. 12, 1953, in Waterloo. He died April 25, 1971.

Mrs. Knox worked as a custodian at Denver High School, Denver, for 16 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by a daughter Renee (Paul) Grandon of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Kirk Lee; and a sister, Ardella.

Services: 3:30 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call for half an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
