Felix M Wilmes – May 1, 1893 – October 1, 1960

ARMSTRONG MAN SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK

Armstrong – F. M. (Phil) Wilmes, 67, died of a heart attack at his home here early Saturday. He had been ill with asthma several years.

He was born at Gilbertville, May 1, 1893, the son of Anton Wilmes and Elizabeth Becker, and was married November 4, 1919, to Christina Kockler at St. Joseph, Minnesota. They farmed near here from 1937 to 1948 when they retired to town.

Surviving are his wife, a brother, John, St. Cloud, Minnesota; a sister; Mrs. George Thul, St. Joseph, Iowa. Two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church here. The Rev. E. E. apt will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Bancroft, with Slaba Funeral Home in charge. Rosaries will be said Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday evening at the funeral home.
