HUDSON — Mrs. Ray D. Baldwin, 66, died Friday at her country home two miles northeast of Hudson of a lingering illness following major surgery last June.

Born Nina Forbes, daughter of Alonzo and Rebecca Forbes, Oct. 9, 1888, at Brooklyn, Ia. She came with her parents to Hudson about 1902. She was married to Ray Baldwin June 19, 1907. They rented the A. T. Baldwin farm several years, later purchasing it, spending 47 years on the farm.

She leaves her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Calvin Pearson, Hudson and two grandchildren. One child preceded her in infancy.

She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Ladies Aid Society.

Body is at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evangelical United Brethren Church with the Rev. Leland Miller, pastor, officiating, and burial will be in Hudson Cemetery.

The family asked that friends contribute to the church's pew fund if they wish to do that instead of sending flowers.
