Services for Russell C. Freeze, 66, of 1526 Byron Ave., will be 1 p.m Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with burial at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Marengo Cemetery. Mr. Freeze died of a heart attack Saturday (Jan. 3) at Covenant Medical Center at Kimball Avenue.

He was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Marengo, son of Ralph. A. and Gertrude Schumann Freeze. He married Joyce Meyers on July 7, 1942 in Bemidji, Minn.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a painter and later managed Sanitary Farms Dairy, formerly known as Potter Ice Cream. He later was a custodian in the Waterloo School District.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James B. of Thornburg; a sister, Mrs. Jean Roberts of Victor; his mother, Gertrude Freeze of Marengo; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call today at Locke Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
