Albert Knox, 47, of Rt. 2, Waterloo died at St. Mary's Hospital Rochester, Minn, at 3:40 p.m. Sunday of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Knox was born in Waterloo on Aug. 14, 1923, the son of James and Jessie Willis Knox. He married Arlene Nolting on Sept. 12, 1953, in Waterloo.

Mr. Knox was a trucker for the Burch and Lehman Transfer and Storage Co. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Becker-Chapman Post No. 138 of the American Legion and Local 844 of the Teamster's Union.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Renee, at home; three brothers Clarence, of Highway 281 East; Ralph of 716 Kirkwood Ave.; and Glenn of 109 Jackie Ave., Elk Run Heights and four sisters: Mrs. Celeste Glaspie of Novinger, Mo.; Mrs. Grace Beard of 1180 Mitchell Ave.; Mrs. Ruth Earles of 1208 Englewood Ave.; and Mrs. Gladys Ridder of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and two brothers.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Locke funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday.
