CEDAR FALLS — Dennis Paul Michel, 60, of Cedar Falls, died Monday Nov. 15, 2004, at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

He was born July 1, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, son of Paul Charles Henry and Elda A. Poock Michel. He married Kathie England on June 4,1972, in Hudson.

Mr. Michel had been employed with the Cedar Falls Fire Department for 31 years, retiring as captain in 1999.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters: Dawn (Brian) Heath of Cedar Falls, Wendy (Jeff) Mulanax of Waterloo and Penny (Scott) Lindhoin of Mineral Point, Wis.; a son, John of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his mother of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Vernon (Edwina) of Cedar Falls and Steve (Bette) of Waterloo; and a sister, Janice (Michael) Girsch of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Daryl.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John American Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present 5 to 7 p.m. The casket will be closed.
