CEDAR FALLS — Donald G. Morehouse, 65, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Sartori Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born May 25, 1947, in LaCrosse, Wis., son of Raymond and Mildred Bahr Morehouse. He married Patricia Mienders on Nov. 8, 1969, in Waterloo.

He graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School in 1965 and attended Hawkeye Tech for one year. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Morehouse was employed at John Deere as a CNC machinist, retiring in 2005.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Christopher (Suzann) of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Curtis (Joyce) of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren: Taylor, Christopher J., Rebecca, Caitlyn and Curtis Jr.; nine sisters: Arlene (Kenny) Bauler, Betty (Marvin) Weber, Margaret (Mark) Marshall and Karen (Dave) Weber, all of Waterloo, Mary Boyce of Cedar Falls, Bonnie (Tim) Fairbanks of Kansas, Jean Taylor of Orlando, Fla., Janet McIntyre of Iowa, and Ann Noe of Marshalltown; and four brothers: David (Phyllis), Karl (Ranee), and Jerry (Lisa), all of Waterloo, and Dennis (Brenda) of Aplington.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service and also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Full military honors by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post # 49 Honor Guard.
