WATERLOO-Mildred Rose Ruhoff, 87, of Rosewood Estates, died Sunday, Dec. 28, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born March 30, 1916, in Barclay Township, daughter of Joseph and Josephine Kurtz Ortner. She married Frank Ruhoff on Sept. 2, 1939, in Waterloo. He died June 14, 1989.

Mrs. Ruhoff was employed at Schoitz Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1967.

Survivors include: a son, Phil (Nanci) Ruhoff of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Linda (Steve) Hastings of Waterloo and Mary Jo (David) Hiestand of Langley, Wash.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Proceded in death by: a son, James; a granddaughter; and a brother, Robert Ortner.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 5 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
