WATERLOO — Karen Davis, 50, of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born June 27, 1962, in Waterloo, daughter of Hiram E. and Juanita Bryan Davis. She was a 1980 graduate of Central High School and attended the dental assistant program at Hawkeye Community College. She had worked as dental assistant in Waterloo for Dr. Wiley, and in Dallas, retiring in 1986 due to disability.

Survived by her mother and stepfather, Juanita and Richard Hockey of Waterloo; three brothers: Robert A. (Pam) Davis of Traer, Richard (Janet) Davis of Cortez, Colo., and Ronald R. (Jolene) Davis of Georgia; a sister, Laura (Donald) Schwab of Hampton; five stepbrothers: Richard T. (Shirley) Hockey of Strawberry Point, Mike Hockey of Cherokee, Mark (Linda) Hockey of Washburn, Gary Hockey of Des Moines and Steve Hockey of Bullhead, Ariz.; and a stepsister, Tracey (Jim) Estel of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by her father; a brother, Thomas Davis; and a sister, Linda S. Davis

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Waterloo First United Methodist Church, with inurnment following cremation in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
