Margaret L. Warnke

Services for Margaret L. Warnke, 65, of 1335 Northey St., will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. She died early Wednesday (July 1) at Allen Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 10, 1921, in Bremer County, daughter of Erwin and Martha Rodemeyer Bergman. She married John Warnke on Feb 9, 1939, in Western Douglas Township rural Plainfield.

She was a nurses aide at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home from 1968 until retiring in 1983.

Survivors include her husband a son Ronald of Raymond; two daughters, Carol Spence of Des Moines and Sandra Bacich of Waterloo; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; her mother, Martha of Waverly; seven brothers: Edgar, Roger, and LeRoy, all of Waverly, Allan of Tripoli, Robert of Lawler, Harley of Hudson and David of Council Bluffs; and two sisters, Dorothy Meyer of Clarksville and Geneva Ellerman of Waverly.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today and at the church for an hour before services Friday.
