CEDAR FALLS — Dorothy M. Henderson, 95, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Elk Run Heights, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Martin Center, Western Home Communities.

She was born Oct. 19, 1917, in Charles City, daughter of John H. and Mabel May Martin Ponto. She married Orrin J. Henderson on Sept. 26, 1936, in Charles City. He died July 2, 1996.

Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker.

Survived by three sons, Gerald (Nancy) and Donald (Rita) of Waterloo and Robert of Greeley, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Harold Ponto; and a sister, Gladys Howlett.

Private family services: will be held Wednesday at memorial park chapel under the auspices of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
