Services for Georgia M. Mullen, 65, of 335 Midlothian Blvd., were 11 a.m. today at St. Edward's Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. She died early Monday (June 29) at Covenant Medical Center at West Ninth after a brief illness.

She was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Winthrop, daughter of Dr. George C. and Genevieve L. McLarnan Murphy. She married Robert E. Mullen on Feb. 1, 1947, in Waterloo. She served with the American Bed Cross in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska, in 1945. She was a charter member of St. Edward's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James of Clinton; three daughters, Patricia Kerr of Cedar Rapids, Elizabeth Gossard of Clear Lake and Mary "Maggie" Mullen of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Gardner of Palatine, Ill., and Patricia Pochran of Windsor, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Marjorie Doherty.

Oppold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
