WATERLOO Anna Mae Newton, 93, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Heritage Manor, Dubuque.

She was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Elgin, daughter of David and Ida Burrow Erhardt. She married Roland “Newt” B. Newton on July 31, 1954, in Cedar Rapids. He died June 6, 1996.

Survived by two daughters, Gloria Johnson of Cedar Rapids and Brenda (Todd Olmstead) Newton Olmstead of Dubuque; a son Harvey (Sharon) Johnson, Sr. of Evansdale; seven grandchildren: Marcia Ward, Rebekah (Andrew) Julich, Harvey Johnson Jr., Heath Johnson, Tyler Olmstead, Casey Olmstead and Perrin Olmstead; and two great-grandchildren, Elianah and Grace Ward.

Preceded in death by four sisters; two brothers, and a brother in infancy.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a 5:30 p.m. Cedar Valley Order of the Eastern Star No. 128 service.

Memorials may be directed to Heritage Manor or Hospice of Dubuque.
