MISS V. MAXINE MAPES

Services for Miss V. Maxine Mapes, 40, of 2737 W. 8th St. are pending at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home following her death Tuesday at 5:10 a.m. at Allen Memorial Hospital.

Born in Waterloo January 31, 1927, the daughter of Alva and Alice Fink Mapes. Miss Mapes graduated from West High School here in 1945. Since 1945 she was employed in the plant offices of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was a charter member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her mother, of 2737 W. 8th St.; two aunts and two uncles.

Friends may call at Parrott & Wood after noon Wednesday. Those who wish may give memorials to the organ fund of the Zion Lutheran Church.

MISS MAXINE MAPES

Services for Miss V. Maxine Mapes, 40, of 2737 W. 8th St., will be at 2:30 p. m. Thursday in Zion American Lutheran Church. Greg Bjornstad, intern pastor, will officiate, followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The casket will be taken from O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home to the church at 1 p. m. Thursday and will be open until the time of service but not afterward.

Miss Mapes died of cancer on Tuesday at Allen Memorial Hospital.
