ORVILLE L. SKATTUM

Services for Orville L. Skattum, 65, of 145 Amity Dr., will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bethel United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Earle D. McCrea will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Skattum died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart condition. Friends may call at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Saturday. Those who wish may give memorials to the Memorial Fund of Bethel United Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Skattum was born March 11, 1904, at Argyle, Wis., the son of Andrew and Matilda Gilbertson Skattum. He married Bernice Brown June 21, 1991, in Dubuque

Before his retirement in April, he was general manager of Members Mutual Oil Company where he had been employed for 39 years. He was a member of the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce and of the Cooperative Managers Association of Iowa and was manager-adviser of the executive board of the Co-op Service Company. He was a member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his widow, three daughters: Mrs. Charles Harper, Minnetonka, Minn., Mrs. James Yearling, 2223 Grand Blvd., Cedar Falls, Mrs. Richard Anderson, 1318 Starbeck Circle, Cedar Falls, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: Thomas of Belmont, Wis., Lee and Robert, both of Monroe, Wis.; four sisters: Mrs. Martha Mau, Janesville, Wis., Mrs. Alpha Field, Mrs. Ruth Field and Mrs. Esther Kubly, all of Monroe, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.
