WATERLOO - Theron R. "Bud" Burrington, 83, of Onalaska, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the Onalaska Care Center.

He was born May 21,1920, in Richland County son of Deibert and Alma Hardy Burrington. He married Veda Tiser Sept. 17,1939, at the Church of the Nazarene, Richland Center.

He graduated from Richland Center High School in 1938. Mr. Burrington and his wife owned and operated the Burrington Market Grocery Store in Richland Center for five years. In 1963 they moved to Waterloo where he worked as a salesman for Ottsen Oil Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Ron (Joan) of Rochester, Minn., and Kenneth (Janet) of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Del of Dousman Wisconsin; and a sister, Eva Fleck of Robinson, Illinois.

Preceded in death by two great-grandsons; three brothers: Alfred, Paul and Ernest; and two sisters, Florence Schmidt and Esther Rose Burrington.

Services: 11 a.m. today at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Onalaska, with burial in the Onalaska City Cemetery Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska was in charge of arrangements.
