MRS. NETTIE H. ZANONI

Mrs. Nettie H. Zanoni, 89, a former Waterloo resident died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Falls Western Home of a heart condition.

Born May 19, 1880, in Freeport, Illinois;, she was the daughter of M. J. and Johanna Pommer. She was married to John Zanoni who died in 1935.

Mrs. Zanoni had been employed by the Paul Davis Dry Goods Store in Waterloo and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband and a daughter.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after noon Thursday at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Services are tentatively scheduled for Friday at the Western Home.

NETTIE H. ZANONI

Funeral services for Nettie H. Zanoni, 89, of the Western Home, Cedar Falls, a former resident of Waterloo, will be at 10 a. m. Friday at the Western Home Chapel. The Rev. G. Christie Swain, pastor of Westminster United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood funeral home until 9 p. m. Thursday. Mrs. Zanoni died at the Western Home at 6 p. m. Tuesday.

MARRIED IN CALIFORNIA

Waterloo friends of Swanette H. Pommer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. I. Pornmer, will be surprised to learn of her marriage to Mr. John Zanoni of Freeport, Illinois which occurred in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday, January
18.

Mr. Pommer was In California at the time and was present at the ceremony which was performed at noon in the United Presbyterian church. The young people were friends together in Freeport, Illinois, where both formerly resided but although they had been enjaged for some time, no date for the marriage had been set. Miss pommer went to California two months ago and Mr. Zanoni followed a week ago and the marriage was consummated.

The bride has made her home in Waterloo for the past ten years and for several years was employed as a clerk with the Paul Davis Company. Afterwards, she was for two years, assistant in the real estate office of her father, M. J .Pommer until two months ago when she went to Los Angeles.

The groom was born and reared in Freeport and has been employed with a wholesale cigar distributing house for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Zanoni will spend the winter in California and may decide to locate there permanently. The best wishes of their friends are extended on the happy event.
