WATERLOO — Vivian June Bauer, 86, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born June 25, 1926, in Gladbrook, daughter of William and Emma Harmsen Hamann. She married Louis E. Bauer on Feb. 11, 1961, in Grundy Center. He died September 4, 2004.

She graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1944. Mrs. Bauer was employed at Wilson Produce Company in Reinbeck. She was a secretary for John Deere Tractor Mfg. Co. until 1962 and then was employed with Kelley Girls until retiring in 1972. She was a Sgt. of Arms of the American Legion Auxiliary, 2nd Vice President of the AMVETS Auxiliary and also Sgt. of Arms.

Survived by a brother, Marvin Hamann of Reinbeck; a sister, Marlene (William) Russell of Traer; two sisters-in-law, Lois (Linville) Hamann of Toledo and Helen Hamann of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Hamann and Howard Hamann; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Hamann.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with visitation an hour before services. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
