WATERLOO -Lewis R. Eastman, 85, formerly of Moline and Waterloo, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island, Illinois.

He was born July 3, 1918, in Waterloo, son of Eli and Sylvia Ellington Eastman. He married Wilma A. Mueller April 25,1937, in Galena, IL. She died April 14,2003.

A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Eastman retired as a marketing representative in 1977, after 29 years of service at the John Deere Waterloo Works.

Survived by a daughter, Mary (Rod) Hiesterman of Port Orchard, Wash.; two sons, Wiliiam (Linda) of Rock Island and Martin (Melody) of Wheaton, Ill; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers. Frank of Maquoketa and Forest of Waterloo; and a sister. Bertha Scoggin of Buffalo, MO.

Memorial services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery
