Wayne E. Fowler, 77, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 21, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He was born April 6, 1923, in Lamont. He married Clara Ida May Brown June 6, 1981, in Corydon.
Mr. Fowler served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and owned and operated R&W Garage, New Hartford, for many years, retiring in 1986.
Survived by his wife; two sons, Wayne Roy Jr. of Springfield, Mo., and Patrick Ray; a daughter, Lanonda May King of Waterloo; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; and a great-grandson.
Memorial services are tentatively set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1530 Pleasant Valley Drive, Waterloo. There will be no visitation as the body was cremated. Parrott & Wood Family Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements.
