Donald Herbert Spaulding – June 14, 1926 – June 26, 2009

SPAULDING, Donald H., 83, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, in Sebring. He was born June 14, 1926, to Herbert George and Hazel (Bruce) Spaulding in Waterloo, Iowa, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1989, coming from Waterloo.

He was a clerk for a meat packing company and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his daughters, Penny Mourer of Tampa and Wendy Spaulding of Sebring; sons, Tony Spaulding of Jesup, Iowa, Chris Spaulding of Sebring, Matt Spaulding of Stanford, Ky., and Greg Spaulding of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; brothers, Alvin Spaulding and Bob Spaulding, both of Waterloo, Iowa; sisters, Evelyn Eilders of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Nancy Taylor of Waterloo, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Interment of cremains, with military honors, will take place 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Fla., with the Rev. Darrell Peer officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Sebring, FL 33870 863) 385-0125
