Evelyn (Spaulding) Eilders – May 18, 1921 – January 16, 2011

Evelyn Eilders, 89, of Niceville, Florida, formerly of Lakeland, Florida and Waterloo, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Niceville.

She was born May 18, 1921 in Waterloo, daughter of George and Hazel Bruce Spaulding. She married Ben Eilders December 7, 1945 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death.

Evelyn is survived by two sons, Tim (Dolores) Eilders of Navarre, Florida, and Terry(Catherine) Eilders of Marquette, Michigan; one daughter, Linda (Lee) Rops of Northwood, Iowa and Miramar Beach, Florida; one sister, Nancy (Larry) Taylor of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Eilders was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Donald and Alvin Spaulding; and two sister, Ethel Morris, and Thelma Baylor.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be one half hour before the service at the funeral home.
