CEDAR FALLS - David W. Ehlert, 68, of Cedar Falls, died at home Saturday, March 18, 2006.

He was born March 21, 1937, in Sumner, son of Walter F. and Sophia H. Hansen Ehlert. He married Carroll Teigeler April 4, 1959, in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced. He married Sharon Neal April 24, 1993, and they later divorced.

Mr. Ehlert worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 1993.

Survivors include: two sons, Jon and Jeff (Lori), both of Katy, Texas; a daughter, Jodi K. Perry of Waterloo; four grandchildren, John and Josh Mercurio, Abby and Ashley Ehlert; his mother of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Harlan (Elsie) of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
