KAUFFMAN, PHILLIPS, EDELMAN, STANDBROUGH, MCINTOSH

C. P. Kauffman is very dangerously ill at the home of his son-in-law and a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McIntosh. His son, F. E. Kauffman of Lake City, Iowa, and his oldest daughter and her husband, Thomas Standbrough of Whitten, Iowa arrived Sunday, and are at the home of Mr. McIntosh.

Death of C. P. Kauffman

C. P. Kauffman, father of Mrs. W. A. Mclntosh, died last evening. Funeral services will be held tomorrow,
Wednesday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock from the residence of Mr. Mclntosh.

C. P. Kauffman and family, from Whitten, Iowa, have rented John Younker's home on Tremont Street, and will make their home in Cedar Falls. Mr. Kauffman is Mrs. M. A. McIntosh's father.

Son of John and Elizabeth Phillips Kauffman
Married Catherine Edelman Aug, 31, 1851 in Iowa
Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa

Mr. C. P. Kauffman, who died last Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. A. McIntosh, came to this city with his wife about three weeks ago, intending to make this their future home. He had not been feeling well for nearly a week, but was not considered to be seriously ill until last Friday.

Deceased was born in Pennsylvania in 1830*.

He leaves a wife and ten children to mourn the loss of a good and kind husband and father. The children are: Jas. K. in Klondike; Milton in Montana; F. E. a physician at Lake City; W. A. phusician at Union, Iowa; Edward, a student at the medical college at Iowa City; Mrs. Stanbrough of Whitten; Mrs. McIntosh of this city; Mrs. Forrest, of Lohrville, Mrs. Becker and Mrs. Emma McIntosh both of Waterloo.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence of W. A. McIntosh, conducted by Rev. J. C. Beade, of Liscomb, Iowa, an old friend of the deceased, assisted by Rev. F. W. Luce. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
