WATERLOO, IOWA - Margaret Laurel Carrothers, 81, of the Spring Creek Health Care Center, Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, February 25, 2000, at the center of natural causes.

She was born October 10, 1918, in Masonville, the daughter of William Carrothers and Blanche Raus. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Arthur Insurance Agency, and then as an income tax preparer for H&R Block for 30 years.

Survived by: a son, Tom of Fort Collins; a granddaughter; and two sisters, Hazel Paulus of Cedar Falls and Ruth Frey of Wells, Minn.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Madonna Carrothers and Garnet Waggoner.

Memorial Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Reager Funeral Home, Fort Collins, with inurnment to be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
