WATERLOO, IOWA -- Mae Austin, 64, of 325 Rickert St., died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, at Allen Hospital, of natural causes.

She was born December 11, 1935, in Iowa City, the daughter of Abraham and Elma Jones Graves. She married Robert E. Austin on November 15, 1958, in Waterloo.

She was formerly employed at Schoitz Hospital, Rath Packing Co. and Wal-Mart. She was also a licensed beautician.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Eric of Las Vegas and David of Waterloo; two daughters, Brenda Robertson of Seattle and Angela "Angie" Robertson of Waterloo; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Theodore Graves of Minneapolis; and a sister, Bertha Crawford of Waterloo.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Ruby Robertson; three brothers: Printice, David and Phillip; and two sisters, Lillie Burnside and Marie Robinson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family at 325 Rickert St., where they will be receiving friends.
