Services for Bernhardt (Ben) C. Volker, 67, of 2032 Waterloo Rd., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church with the Rev. Homer Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday. Mr. Volker died 12:03 a.m. Monday at Sartori Hospital.

He was born January 4, 1901, in Sumner, the son of Fred and Minnie (Steege) Volker. He married Esther Golnick September 4, 1921, in Waverly. After she died, he married Norma Williams November 28, 1949, in Galena, Illinois. He was a retired produce manager.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Frederick of Rt. 2, Waterloo; three daughters: Mrs. Gwendolyn Dengler of 3129 Loma Street, Mrs. Beverly Fagerlind of 1635 Locke, Waterloo and Mrs. Elaine Tiller of 1611 Schreiber Street; two stepdaughters: Mrs. Ethel Tanner of 657 Dawson Street, Waterloo and Mrs. Ellenor Bauman of Waukegan, Illinois; a stepson, Boyd Gore of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, Clarence of 321 Clay Street; 15 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, a wife and a grandson.

A memorial fund has been established for the Nazareth Lutheran Church.
