VERL B. TRUEBLOOD

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the First Congregational Church for Verl B. Trueblood, 62, of 2215 W. 4th St. who died at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of cancer. Dr. Charles Jacobs, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may give memorials to the church and may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home from 11 a.m. today until noon tomorrow and at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Trueblood was born June 3, 1907, in Henry County and was the son of Charles and Minnie [Bogue] Trueblood.

He married Grace Bittle Feb. 1, 1942, in Waterloo.

Mr. Trueblood attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the American Legion. He also belonged to the First Congregational Church, Knife and Fork Club, Elks Club and National Cost Accountants Association. He was a Young Plumbing and Heating employee.

Surviving are his widow and one sister, Mrs. Herman Hallowell of Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
