27 YEARS DIES

A. C. Sweeney Funeral
Will Be Held Friday

Charles City—Funeral services with the Hauser Funeral Home in charge, will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Immaculate Conception Catholic church, for A. C. Sweeney, 69, who died at his home, 709 Wisconsin Street, early Wednesday morning. Mr. Sweeney had been failing quite rapidly for about 5 weeks and a week ago, suffered a stroke which resulted in his death. The Rev. Father T. J. Rooney, pastor, will be the celebrant, and the Rosary society will meet at the funeral home at 8:30 p. m. Thursday evening to recite the rosary. Interment will be made in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Sweeney had been a resident of Charles City for 27 years.

Arthur C. Sweeney was born March 12, 1876, in Black Hawk County. About 3 years after coming to Charles City, he was married to Josephine Welsh; on June 15, 1921.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Clare Sweeney of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Beulah Hoffman, of Chicago. There are also three grandchildren.
