GUTHRIE E. BROELL

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p. m. at Kearns Funeral Home for Futhrie E. Broell, 48, of 722 Logan Avenue, who died Wednesday night of self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Dr. H. E. Dierenfield, pastor of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Guthrie Broell was born January 4, 190l, at Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Edward J. and Amelia Broell.

He was married August 20, 1944 at Rockford, Illinois to Nellie Gill. He has lived in Waterloo for 40 years.
Manager of the Summer Street grocery store, he was a member of the Eagles lodge.

He is survived by his wife; his mother who lives at 911 Burton avenue; two sons, Raymond Broell, Pomona, California, and Rolland, Archer Street; two stepchildren, Robert Classon, in the army at San Antonio, Texas, and Joan Classon at home; two brothers Percy Broell, San Diego, California and Jack Broell, and a sister, Mrs. Naomi Simmons at 911 Burton avenue.

The body is at the Kearns Garden Chapel pending funeral arrangements.

Broell-Huck - Miss Doris Huck and Guthrie Broell were united in marriage at 3 p.m. yesterday at First M. E. Church. Rev. F. W. Court pronounced the services. Percy Broell, brother of the groom, attended the couple. They will make their home in Austin.
