WASHBURN — Betty J. Ellsworth, 87, formerly of Washburn, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo,

She was born July 21, 1925, in Waterloo, daughter of Ralph and Cora O’Brink Barman, and after the death of her father when she was 10, was raised by her mother and stepfather, John Moore.

Mrs. Ellsworth was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul United Presbyterian Church, Washburn.

Survived by a son, Richard (Tina) of Waterloo; two daughters, Becky Jo (Robert) Hall of Lampe, Mo., and Cinda Sue (Frank) Miller of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Darcy (Tony) Powell, Bryan Pryor and Nick Ellsworth; and two great-grandchildren, Lexis and Lake Powell.

Preceded in death by two brothers, James and Richard Barman; and a sister, Olive Barman.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Memorial fund has been established.

Betty enjoyed reading, sewing and working in the garden. She loved to dance with her grandson, Nick.
