Carole May (Albright) Brandhorst Miller was born September 3, 1918 on a farm near Liscomb, Iowa the daughter of Clarence & Grace (Melick) Albright. She died Monday, February 3, 2003 at Sartori Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years.

She married Earl Brandhorst in 1938 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1953. She was united in marriage to Koert Miller on June 27, 1981 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
Carol was a graduate of Gates Business College in Waterloo and was employed as a secretary at the University of Northern Iowa for many years. She sung with SAC’s on 218 and was involved with the Ladies Aid group at church.

Survivors include her husband, Koert, of Cedar Falls; one son, Ken (Donna) Brandhorst of Waverly, Iowa; one daughter, Pat Brown of Cedar Falls; one stepson, Stanley K. (Joan I.) Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and two brothers, Merritt Albright of Vero Beach, Florida and LeRoy Albright of Salem, New Hampshire.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one granddaughter, and her sister, Doris Petersen.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
