Elvera M. Drenner, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Elvera was born November 17, 1917, in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Walter & Rosa (Seipert) Hubbard.

She married Herbert Drenner August 5, 1936 in McGregor, Iowa. He preceded her in death July 4, 2003. Elvera was employed at the University of Northern Iowa for 10 years retiring in 1981.

Survivors include one son, Duane (Sharon) Drenner of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two daughters, Pat (Monty) Groesbeck of Brainerd, Minnesota and Kathi (Ken) Marsh of Cedar Falls, Iowa; her daughter in law, Glennyce Drenner of Waterloo, Iowa, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Elvera was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one son, Jim Drenner; her brother, Clifford Hubbard, and her sister, Dorothy Buhr.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday.

A memorial fund will be established. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
