Laura Mae Wollum, 87, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Falls. She was born May 26, 1921 at Larchwood, Iowa, the daughter of Harve and Jessie (Mc Enaney) Naugle.

Laura married Wayne Wollum June 22, 1946 in Sioux Falls. She was a bank teller and also worked as a housekeeper at Mc Kennan Hospital, both in Sioux Falls. Before her retirement, she and her husband owned and operated West End Grocery in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Survived by her husband, Wayne Wollum, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Jeff (Carmen) Wollum of Waterloo and Mike (Kay) Wollum of Emmetsburg; six grandchildren, Chad (Jane) Wollum, Christy (Robert) Hulshizer, and Joey, Matt, Brett and Tiffany Wollum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Merle, Larry and Edwin Naugle, and one sister, Bonnie Gahagen.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, and one hour before service, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Memorials may be directed to Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center.
