Services for Glen E. Head, 72, of 140 River Forest Rd., Evansdale, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Memories West, the Rev. Jack L. Cave, pastor of the First Church of the Open Bible, officiating. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Mr. Head died 12:20 p.m. yesterday at the Americana Nursing Home of cancer.

He was born Jan. 12, 1902, in Plainfield, the son of Mark and Sarah Bennett Head. He married Virdia Jones July 13, 1923, in Waverly. He and his wife lived in Waterloo from 1941 until 1967, when they moved to Evansdale, He had owned and operated many restaurants in this area. He operated Virdia's Cafe in Evansdale until 1971.

Surviving are his wife at home; two sons, Lloyd of 140 River Forest Rd., Evansdale, and Donald of Lakewood, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Way of 150 River Forest Rd., Evansdale; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers. Kenneth of Osage, and Earl of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Jim Behrens of Jensen Beach, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

EVANSDALE - Funeral services for Glen E. Head, 72, of 140 River Forest Road, will be 1 p. m. Tuesday at Chapel of Memories Rev. The Jack L. Cave, pastor of First Church of the Open Bible, will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.

Mr. Head died Saturday at Americana Nursing Home, Waterloo. Friends may call at Chapel of Memories West until service time.
