CEDAR FALLS — Randall A. Williams, 99, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

He was born July 23, 1913, in Jefferson, son of H. C. and Helen Belle Adams Williams. He married Flora Belle Lohr on Nov. 29, 1934, at her parent’s home in Belle Plaine.

He graduated from Belle Plaine high school in 1932. Mr. Williams worked for the Iowa Electric Light and power in Belle Plaine. He was a fireman and then a locomotive engineer with the Chicago North Western Railroad, transferring to Mason City in 1965. Practically all his railroading involved freight trains. He retired in 1975 after 31 years of service. The couple lived in Mason City and then Waverly. They moved to Cedar Falls in 2012. Mr. Williams was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Belle Plaine, and was a charter member of the Odd Fellows, Brotherhood of L. & E. and Narve.

Survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Sharon (Byron) Holst of Keystone and Nona (Klaas) Kruger of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; two sisters, Helen Emrich of Cedar Rapids and Sandra (Bill) Golightly of Hiawatha; two brothers, Wallace (Sally) of Portland, Ore., and Bruce of Brooklyn; and a sister-in-law, Frances Williams of Riverside, Calif.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Channing; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Williams.

Services: Mr. Williams deeded his body to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. There will be no public visitation or service at this time. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice.
