ALFRED (KELLY) HARTMAN

Alfred (Kelly) Hartman, 64, died at allen Memorial Hospital Wednesday evening of a respiratory ailment. Funeral arrangements are tentatively planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church.

He was born in Bremer County, May 31, 1904, the son of Frederick and Maria Plumhoff Hartman. He was married to Adella Joens April 11, 1929, in Bremer County. He was employed in the Chamberlain Corp. as a maintenance worker until his retirement due to illness.

Mr. Hartman was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Century Club of the church and Local 1318, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

He is survived by his widow; two sons, Roger of 603 S. Hackett Rd. and Richard of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. David Zwanziger of West Liberty; two brothers, Theo of Plainfield, and Carl of Richfield, Wash.; three sisters: Mrs. Alma Riherd of Forest City, and Mrs. Clara Buls and Mrs. Herman Boeckman, both of Waverly, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter in infancy, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the Locke Funeral home.

Funeral services for Alfred (Kelly) Hartman, 64, of 1027 Columbia St., who died Wednesday of a respiratory ailment at Allen Memorial Hospital will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. S. M. Schreitmueller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Midwest Garden of Memories. The casket will be taken from the Locke Funeral Home to the church at 9 a.m. Saturday.
