CEDAR FALLS — William K. “Bill” Harder, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born July 22, 1929, in Dysart, son of Ray K. and Ruby Kroeger Harder. He married Alice Wyatt on October 7, 1949, at the Cedar Falls Woman’s Club House.

Mr. Harder was a graduate of Dike High School, and farmed and owned his own trucking company for many years. He was a member of EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association).

Survived by his wife; a son, Ross (Vicky) of Hudson; a granddaughter, Heather (Gabe) Wyckoff of Cedar Falls; two great-grandchildren, Brady and Nathan Wyckoff of Cedar Falls; a brother, Wendell “Wendy” of Evansdale; and two sisters, Darlene Durns of Waterloo and Dolores Wulf of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, April Harder; and a brother, Robert “Bob.”

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hudson Community Church, with inurnment at Hudson Cemetery at a later date. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the church.
