WATERLOO — Rose Mary “Rosie” Jenkins, 79, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, Jan. 21, 2013.

She was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Hopkinton, daughter of Karl John and Rachel C. Ralston Kuriger. She married Jerry Lee Jenkins Sr. on June 14, 1954, in Cedar Falls.

Mrs. Jenkins graduated from Cedar Falls High School and was a respiratory therapist assistant at Covenant Medical Center for 25 years, retiring in 1995.

Survived by her husband; three sons: Daniel L. (Julie), Jeffrey S. (Sandy), and Jerry L. Jr., all of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mildred Hanson and Margaret (Sonny) Scoles, both of Waterloo, Theresa Wiley of Cedar Rapids and Betty Wendt of New Hampton; and a brother, Phillip Kuriger of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by a son, Jackie Dean; two brothers, Paul and Raymond Kuriger; and a sister, Florence Sherbon.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 5:30 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church .
