Mrs. Clarence E. Newcomb, 47, 614 Washington street, died at 6 a.m. today in a local hospital following a long illness. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the O'Keefe & Towne chapel, Dr. J.R. Macartney, pastor of First Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview.

Elsie Price was born July 24, 1878, at Rockford, Ill. With her parents, she came to Iowa in 1882, locating on a farm near Clarksville. She was married to Mr. Newcomb at Plainfield, Ia., Sept. 2, 1896. An only child, Evelyn [Donahoo], preceded the mother in death.

Surviving are the husband and son-in-law, James Donahoo, Waterloo, husband of the deceased daughter.
