KOEPKE, PROESCHOLD, ZOPF, LUDLOW

Mrs. Mary Koepke, 85, mother of Municipal Court Clerk Ernest W. Koepke and a resident of Waterloo for more than 60 years, died at her home, 233 Maple street, at 11 p.m. Tuesday. Death was due to complications attributed to advanced age.

Mrs. Koepke was born Aug. 24, 1863, at Fort Dodge, Ia., the daughter of Gottfried and Christina Proeschold. SHe was married at Fort Dodge Sept. 18, 1883, to Frederick J. Koepke.

Immediately after their marriage they came to Waterloo and she had since lived at 233 Maple street. Mr. Koepke died in 1927.

Mrs. Koepke was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran church and of the Ladies Aid Society of that church.

Surviving are two daugthers, Mrs. P.H. Zopf, 119 Mohawk street, and Mrs. Russell Ludlow, 233 Maple street, and three sons, Carl, Westside, Ia., Lorenz and E.W. Koepke, both of 233 Maple street. There are also 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Four children preceded her in death.

The body is at Parrott & Wood funeral home where it may be viewed by friends after 10 a.m. Thursday. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
