MRS. MARY HOLTZ TURNER

Mrs. Mary Holtz Turner, age 62, died Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at St. Francis hospital. Mrs. Turner had been ill about three years. Two weeks ago she underwent an operation.

Decedent was born May 26, 1856, in Wisconsin. Fifty years ago she moved to Black Hawk County with her parents. In 1877 she was united in marriage with George Turner and for 32 years they resided on a farm just east of Waterloo. the past eight years they have lived on a farm near Dunkerton.

Mrs. Turner was the mother of seven children, two of whom are dead.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: L.H., Henry E., and Charles W., on farms in East Waterloo township; Mrs. Bertha Glenn, Poyner Township; Roy F., Barclay township. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Gulzow, 229 Maple Street, and Mrs. Lizzie Moore, Fort Dodge; and one brother, John Holtz, Newell.

The body was taken to the Hileman & Gindt mortuary where friends may call.

Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:30 at the HIleman & Gindt chapel. Rev. Gallagher, pastor of the M.E. church, Dunkerton, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview.
