William E. "Bill" Bunz, 83, of Reinbeck, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Per Bill's request cremation has taken place. A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 3 to 5 P.M. at the French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Memorials may be directed to the family.

William E. Bunz was born October 28, 1929, the son of Jerry and Hilda (Nissen) Bunz in Waterloo, Iowa. Bill grew up in the Waterloo area and graduated from Waterloo East High School. After graduation he farmed with his father before moving to California where he sold welding supplies.

Bill married Colleen Ryan in June of 1950 in California they later divorced. He married Janice Nissen on December 11, 1960. He moved to Hudson, Iowa and started working for Viking Pump Inc. in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Bill also ran Bill Bunz Tree Service in Hudson. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Ben (Tracy) Bunz of Riverside, CA, Dan (Liz) Bunz of Loomis, CA, Dennis(Joyce) Bunz of Denver, CO, Kenny (Gail) Bunz of Hudson, Iowa, Larry Bunz of Dysart, Iowa, Brian (Chris) Bunz of Reinbeck, Iowa and Chad (Holli) Bunz of Fort Mills, SC, and 15 grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by her parents and wife Janice.

Visitation: January 6, 2013, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, French-Hand Funeral Home, 409 Clark Street, Reinbeck
